About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Reporting and BI Data Analyst/Developer to join our team at Micad Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from both Micad and its clients. You will prepare comprehensive reports, interactive dashboards, and data manipulation queries to support data-driven decision-making across the business.
The ideal candidate will leverage a wide range of tools, platforms, and technologies to meet the specific business requirements of Micad Systems, ensuring that data is accessible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyse business data from various sources to support reporting and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Build, manage, and automate data pipelines using tools like Hevo and other relevant platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and data analysis needs.
- Conduct data imports and exports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Design and implement business intelligence solutions that align with business objectives.
- Provide ongoing support for the development and enhancement of data reporting systems.
- Continuously explore and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve data processes and outputs.
About you
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in SQL: Including experience with SQL Server and Postgres.
- Familiarity with report generation and dashboard tools: Like Jasper Reports and Power BI.
- Ability to work with Data Pipelines: (e.g., Hevo) for seamless data integration and transformation.
- Experience with dashboard and widget libraries: (e.g., FusionCharts) for visualizing data.
- Strong data manipulation and analytical skills: With the ability to turn raw data into meaningful insights.
- Solid understanding of data import/export processes: Ensuring data quality and integrity.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions: Such as Google BigQuery and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and programming languages: Like R.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML): Concepts and applications in data analysis.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS): For generating reports and integrating them into business processes.
- Experience with NoSQL databases: Such as CosmosDB or MongoDB.
- Using PowerShell for API Calls.
- Java programming.
- VueJS programming.
